Kristin Koch is a multi-platform writer, editor and content and digital strategist. She specializes in digital brand consulting and special editorial projects, covering fashion, beauty, travel, design, health, parenting, and lifestyle.
Koch is the Editor in Chief of Seventeen Magazine, where she oversees content and editorial operations for all of the brand’s various communication channels and projects. Prior to becoming Editor in Chief, Koch worked as the brand’s digital director, where she grew traffic from 2.7 to over 11 million monthly unique visitors, in addition to overseeing Seventeen’s award-winning social media platforms and extension, including launching the brand on new platforms like TikTok (where Seventeen’s following now tops 3 million), Snapchat (over 4 million subscribers) and YouTube (over 2 million subscribers). Koch represents the site and brand at events and media appearances, and oversees brand extensions including clothing and home decor lines, e-commerce and affiliate marketing, and partnerships with Amazon, Apple News, Netflix and more. She is also the founder and president of Hearst’s Parents Group and a member of the American Society of Magazine Editors.
Koch is also the founder and voice behind style website, Closetful of Clothes.
Koch has held editorial and managerial positions at Glamour, Vanity Fair, The Knot and Buzz Media, and has contributed to a range of publications and outlets, including Self, Health, Woman’s Day, Time, Weight Watchers, Cosmopolitan, & more. She has also served as a consultant for fashion start-up Hukkster and social media start-up, Grapevine.
Additionally, Koch is the co-author of The Knot’s Ultimate Guide To Wedding In The Real World, and Growing Up: Everything You Need to Know About Your Changing Body Puberty (Discovery Girls). Kristin has made regular appearances as a guest expert both on national and local television, and has been quoted in numerous print and online publications.
Koch attended Colgate University. She currently resides in New York with her husband, two young children, and golden doodle Dakota.
